hibs JPGHibs are relieved to hear that Ivan Sproule's injury is not as bad as first feared. On Sunday, the winger was carried off with an ankle injury at Inverness. There were worries over possible ligament damage when Sproule took a knock to the ankle towards the end of Hibs' 3-2 league win over Caley Thistle. However, following examination by the Easter Road's medical staff, Hibs manager Pat Fenlon has revealed Sproule could return to training before the game against Motherwell on Sunday.

Fenlon said: "The good news is that Ivan's injury is not as bad as we first feared it might be. He was obviously in a lot of pain when he came off the pitch, but fortunately the injury has responded to treatment and he could be back in training sooner rather than later."
