C:WindowsTempphpBBC9.tmpHearts have finally managed to reach positive points in the Scottish Premiership which allows the players like Scott Robinson to believe they can still avoid the drop. The midfielder struck with 10 minutes to go to earn Hearts a 2-1 win over Ross County at the Global Energy Stadium on Saturday and put the administration-hit side in the black in the Scottish Premiership table for the first time following their 15-point deduction for entering administration. Callum Paterson gave Hearts a deserved lead in the 37th minute with a tap-in following a David Smith corner but Yann Songo'o levelled on the stroke of half time when he headed home a Richard Brittain free-kick. The game looked to be heading for a draw but Robinson was on hand to react to a Michael Fraser punch-out to sendthe ball into the net.

The win leaves Hearts are now on two points, 19 points behind second bottom Partick Thistle on two points, but Robinson said: "We won't give up. Everyone thinks we've gone already and we know its going to be hard to stay up. But if we're going to be relegated we'll go down fighting. It was our goal at the start of the season to get into positive points and we're there now. It has taken us a bit longer than we'd hoped, but that doesn't matter now. We're gong for three points in every single game from now to the end of the season. The performances in the last few games have been good and things are looking a wee bit better for us now. I'd forgotten what it was like to score. It as a great feeling to get the winner."

Ross County defender Brian McLean admitted his side got what they deserved as they suffered their first defeat of 2014. He said: "Hearts were the better team, they thoroughly deserved their three points. We had a lot of confidence going into the game but we were a bit disjointed at times - it was very disappointing, especially being at home. We did extremely well to go in 1-1 at half time. It was a very sloppy start collectively, we need to address that. We need to make sure we start at a much higher tempo against Kilmarnock on Saturday. For the first 45 minutes we could easily have been three or four-nil down. We never managed to come out of the traps in the second half either which was extremely disappointing."
