SFA president George Peat has been converted to the idea of summer football following the number of postponements this month. Scottish football has been decimated in December as the freezing weather has taken a firm grip on the country. The majority of SPL games have been postponed due to snow and ground safety concerns while SFL games have stood little to no chance of getting the green light. Peat has always been against playing football through the summer and had been wondering which month to have a winter break, although he now feels it might be sensible to take December, January and February off. |
