Morton manager Allan Moore has cause to thank his chairman, Douglas Rae, as it was down to his continued investment that he has two new players to work with. Former Aberdeen midfielder Derek Young joined on a short term deal last week and made his debut in Saturday’s 1-0 win over hosts Ayr United alongside Celtic goalkeeper Dominic Cervi who joined on loan.
Moore said: "Derek will stabilise us in midfield and Dominic is really strong at coming for cross balls, which is what we need in the First Division. The chairman has gone into his pocket to let us bring Derek and Dominic in and I must thank him for that."
