Planning, Always Planning

C:WindowsTempphpEB36.tmpAlbion Rovers manager Darren Young is not about to take a break just yet as his plans are already well underway for next seasons preparations. He took some time out to speak to the media to give an insight into his recruitment policy and how, instead of quantity, it’s about the quality of the players at the club.

He said: "This is about bringing the best players we can to Albion Rovers. We want to improve the team and are working hard on adding quality. If other clubs are able to offer more money then good luck to them. We have a tight budget and we’re trying to do as much as we can with it. One of our big selling points is that we make players better and help them to progress in their careers. We have a track record of doing that. Josh Mullin came to us, did well and got a move to Livingston. Our keeper, Ross Stewart, received a call-up to the Scotland under-21s squad and Chris Cadden is in Motherwell’s first team after doing well on loan with us. The good news for us is that we have 12 players signed up for next season and that wasn’t the case this time last year."
