Lose The Mistakes From Your Game

C:WindowsTempphpEB43.tmpStuart McCall has told Bilel Mohsni to cut out the silly mistakes after his latest error allowed Cowdenbeath to score their goal in the 4-1 win at Ibrox. Rangers were leading through Nicky Clark's 49th-minute opener when Mohsni's mistake handed the Fifers an equaliser. The Tunisian defender dallied on the ball while under pressure from Kudus Oyenuga and then passed straight to Colin Marshall who slipped in Oyenuga to make it 1-1. But Mohsni's blushes were spared when Darren McGregor put the Gers back in front and substitute Haris Vuckic scored two late goals to seal the win.

Asked if he had spoken to Mohsni about his mistake after the game, the McCall said: "Yeah because you know something, he did so many good things defensively in the game today - but then he's got the little rick in him. He has got to cut that out of his game, but he knows that. It was a really poor error he made by trying to pass it into an area that wasn't on. He's got to learn. In the first half he was really strong, coming in front of his marker and put some good balls in. But as a group, all of us, we have got to cut out the sloppiness. The concentration and focus has got to be on."

Vuckic has now scored five goals in nine games since moving north on loan from Newcastle and McCall admits he may have to offer him a starting slot against Hearts next Sunday. He said: "He has stood out since I've come in. He's fresh, he's bright. He reminds me of big Alexei Mikhailichenko - very graceful, terrific left foot. He was slightly disappointed he wasn't starting today but he understood the side played so well last week at Easter Road. We told him we would get him on for half an hour and came to agreement that when he came on he would get some goals, so he has played his part."

McCall also insisted there has been no fall-out with striker Kris Boyd who was axed for the second week in a row. He said: "If I'm not starting Kris or Jon Daly, I don't feel I need both on the bench. It's as simple as that. Jon came on against Alloa and made an impact so I think it would be difficult to leave him out. There's not been a problem with him I promise you. Boydy's attitude since I walked in the door has been first-class."
