The Accies are back in the big time following a three-year absence courtesy of a memorable two-legged playoff win over Hibs in May. Antoine-Curier, who has signed a one-year deal to stay at New Douglas Park, fully believes Alex Neil’s squad has the talent to cause a stir in the SPL. The striker goes into the new campaign full of confidence after scoring 13 goals in 2013/14, including four in the 10-2 win over Greenock Morton on the final day of last season.

Antoine-Curier, who scored three in a pre-season friendly against Dumbarton, said: "I’m definitely looking forward to being back in the Scottish Premiership playing against the likes of Celtic, Motherwell and Aberdeen, although obviously Rangers aren’t there. It’s a top league with excellent teams. Hopefully we can have a positive season following an excellent year in the Championship. The question will be asked can we do it in the SPL? For my part I’ll be doing my best on the pitch. Hopefully I’ll be starting and I’ll be aiming to score as many as possible so we can do our best in the table. We’ve waited a while to win promotion back to Scotland’s top flight. I know what we’re capable of. The boss (Alex Neil) is up for it. We don’t want to go back down. Winning promotion was special. The manner in which we won is something that’s hard to describe. We want to build on last season’s success, starting next month."
