livingston jpegLivingston welcome Dumbarton hoping the new regime will introduce a new on-field approach from the Sons. When the teams met at the Strathclyde Homes Stadium in August, the visitors played the last 20 minutes with only ten men on the pitch after defender Michael O'Byrne, a former Dumbarton player, was ordered off by referee Neil Watters. Livi manager Gary Bollan admitted it was quite a welcome to the rough and tumble of Second Division football, saying: "It was a bit of a battle, to say the least."

Livi captain Liam Fox is looking for a reaction to last week's 1-0 defeat at Forfar which left the Lions trailing league leaders Brechin City by one point. Fox said: "The Forfar goal was a wonder strike, fit to win any game and sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and accept the defeat. I don't think we performed well, though. Hopefully, we'll get back to winning at home to Dumbarton but we're expecting another tough one."

New Sons manager Alan Adamson enjoyed a 4-1 home win over John Robertson's new charges, East Fife, last week. Adamson has admitted he needs to develop a new approach for his side as their combative style winning them few admirers and few points. He said: "It was hectic last week but training was upbeat. I will be looking to freshen things up a bit."
