C:WindowsTempphpD01B.tmpCowdenbeath Manager Liam Fox continues to put the finishing touches to his squad for the challenges ahead in Division Two. His latest additional to the Central Park squad is striker Kris Renton from Newtongrange Star. Renton, who hails from Musselburgh, is the brother of ex-Elgin City and Raith Rovers goalkeeper Keiron Renton.  A product of Musselburgh Windsor, he joined Norwich City in 2006 and when he made his first team debut at the age of 16 in a League game v Leicester City he became the youngest ever player to turn out for the Canaries.  All seemed to be going swimmingly at Carrow Road but a few short months later Renton suffered a broken leg.

Following recovery and rehabilitation, he had loan spells at Kings Lynn and Brechin City.  However, Renton had a hankering to return home to Scotland and negotiated his release from Norwich in January 2010.  Renton then joined junior club Musselburgh Athletic and was in their side which lost in the 2011 Scottish Junior Cup final.  He then had a spell with Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic where he scored 30 goals in one season  before moving to the Nitten in 2014.  The 6 foot 3 inch centre is now looking forward to a fresh challenge in the SPFL with the Blue Brazil.
