C:WindowsTempphpD63.tmpSt Mirren moved off the bottom of the Premiership table after they beat Ross County 2-1 in Dingwall today which delighted stand-in manager Gary Teale. The Buddies had to play the final 52 minutes with just 10 players after striker Yoann Arquin was red-carded for clashing with defender Lewis Toshney. Sean Kelly had given the visitors to Victoria Park the lead in 16 minutes, only for Liam Boyce to level matters eight minutes from time. However, just when it seemed that thegamematch was heading for a draw, up stepped Stephen Mallan to snatch a late winner and leave County bottom of the standings. Teale said: "The longer the game went on the boys were excellent. To come up here, go down to 10 men and get a winner so late in the game with the amount of energy they expended up to that point, speaks volumes for the players. As long as we keep going and do the right things we will go in the right direction. I've said it since I've come in, I'm confident we can start climbing. We've had a lot of bad luck but hopefully we can come through that. Hopefully this is a big stepping stone for us."

Teale's opposite number Jim McIntyre was not best pleased with the result. He said: "It just wasn't good enough. We created two or three opportunities in the second half but we didn't take them. Craig Curran had an unbelievable chance and Mark Ridgers pulled off an unbelievable save from Jackson Irvine when he's going the opposite way and Martin Woods also had a chance. Nothing was ever going to be decided on today's game. But I'm confident we will bounce back. I don't know what it is. Playing in Dingwall just now, we are finding it really difficult to get ourselves going. We concede a really poor goal defensively and then our confidence seemed to disappear. We are having some great performances away from home but at home we are struggling. From my point of view we have to show character."
