Glasgow City have agreed to transfer midfielder Denise O'Sullivan to US NWSL side Houston Dash. The Republic of Ireland international  joined City in the summer of 2013 from her home town team of Cork City Women's FC.  The relatively unknown attacking midfielder blossomed during her time at Glasgow City shining both domestically and in the UEFA Women's Champions League and picked up the SWPL Player's Player of the Year in 2014 as well as making a clean sweep at the Glasgow City Player of the Year awards in 2014 and 2015.  A hugely popular figure in the City team amongst players and fans, Denise leaves Glasgow City with everyone at the club wishing her well. She also departs with a bag full of medals, having won every domestic trophy possible in each of her three seasons at the club, as well as reaching the quarter finals of the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Commenting on her departure, Head Coach, Scott Booth said:  "It's been an absolute pleasure to have worked with Denise O'Sullivan. She has always been held in high regard at the club both on and off the field. Nobody has worked harder than Denise to improve her game to the point where it could make her dreams come true. That is now a reality and she leaves the club with the best wishes of everyone associated at Glasgow City."

City Club Manager, Laura Montgomery said: "We were very excited when we brought Denise on board in 2013. We thought we could help her develop into a real top player and not only has she not disappointed, she has probably surpassed our expectations. Her commitment, work rate and dedication to improve is unparalleled.  At only 22 years old she will only get better and better. I know our fans will be disappointed that we have let her go, but there comes a point where a real life changing opportunity comes along and for Denise she has it now.  Denise has been coveted for the past two years by a number of top clubs and it is to her credit that she has known what has been best for her at each stage of her career. She is now at that point where she is ready. Ready for the highest level and going to a team like Houston Dash, and playing alongside superstars such as World Player of the Year Carli Lloyd, is an opportunity very, very few footballers will every have the chance to emulate.  We wish Denise the very best of luck with her move. She is a wonderful person and will be missed by everyone at the club."
