Hearts fans can now start planning a trip to Malta after their side built on their 2-1 lead against FC Infonet and ran out 4-2 winners on Wednesday night in Tallin. Birkirkara of Malta await Hearts in the next round on 14 and 21 July. Robbie Neilson's men knew they had a goal of a lead start but did not rest on their travelling laurels and made a dream start in the Estonian capital.
Callum Paterson and Igor Rossi scored inside eight minutes and Alim Ozturk gave them a three-goal lead by half time. Rossi scored a fourth away goal after an Ozturk own goal had reduced the deficit. Vladimir Voskoboinikov pulled one back for the hosts to make the final score FC Infonet 2 (3) Hearts 4 (6).
