Airdrie United manager Jimmy Boyle is hoping he can persuade Diamonds chairman Jim Ballantyne to allow him to offer man of many clubs Neil MacFarlane a deal to join the club. MacFarlane, who left Morton just after the season started, played as a trialist in Airdrie’s 1-0 win over Stenhousemuir at the weekend. After that game, Boyle said: “Neil’s match fitness is not there as yet but his reading of the game is fantastic. He knows where to sit during a game and I will have a chat with him and the chairman and take things from there.” |
