C:WindowsTempphpC3C2.tmpPaul Hartley insists his Dundee side will not underestimate Dunfermline in tonight's Scottish League Cup encounter at East End Park. Dundee are favourites to record a win in Fife and have been tipped by some sections for cup success this season. However, Hartley maintains the Dark Blues are expecting nothing other than a tough tie against their lower league opponents. He said: "We will show Dunfermline every respect. That's the way it is in football. They have made a very good start to the season. They will see us as a big club coming from the Scottish Premiership. So we know we are in for a hard game and will have to be ready for it. Of course, we want to do well in the cup competitions this season. It would be great to have a run for the fans as well. That is our aim but we know we have to get past Dunfermline first. There are no easy games in cup competitions and we don't expect this one to be either."

Dunfermline manager Allan Johnston expects to have a full squad to choose from for tonight's game. The Pars are looking to bounce back after their pulsating start to the season ran aground at Peterhead at the weekend when they lost 2-1. Johnston said: "We did not start that game well enough and our passing game never reached the standards it has reached in our other games. We know to defeat a Dundee side that have played good football this season that we need to be at the top of our game from the first whistle to the last."
