Dundee United Have CL Aspirations

Dundee United manager Craig Levein must be suffereing from burning ears as he is getting praise from both his boss and his players. The other week Eddie Thompson was singing the ex-Hearts manager's praises for the way he has halted the slide down the slippery slope to relegation. Now it is the turn of defender Christian Kalvenes to heap praise on the manager who arrived at Tannadice in October. Levein has guided United away from relegation danger and into a solid mid-table position, with Kalvenes now feeling far more settled at the club.

He said: "
It is not just the defence he has improved, but also the midfield and strikers. Everyone knows their jobs and understands what's required. It has made playing easier and, of course, when you're winning you enjoy your football more. We've more confidence and that has come with getting some results. In a way the end of the season has probably come a bit too soon because we are getting better and better every week. But, I feel things are really starting to go forward here."
