Cappielow Cup Final

Cowdenbeath will see on loan defender Gary Kenneth of Dundee Utd return from Scotland's Under 20 trip to Canada for their trip to the tail of the bank. However, Mark Baxter is likely to be unavailable after picking up a knock in the 6-1 demolition of Stranraer at Stair Park last Sunday.

Blue Brazil boss Brian Welsh reckons three points from the upcoming matches at league leaders Morton and play-off favourites Stirling Albion (Forthbank, Tuesday) will be enough to ensure Div 2 safety for the Fifers. Although there is still ground to make up if they want to be involved in the play-offs at the other end of Div 2, a win on Saturday certainly puts them within striking distance of fourth place Brechin who won't get it easy at Alloa.

Welsh said: "
Our great performance at Stranraer takes the pressure off and not for the first time the pressure is on Morton now as so much is expected of a team who should really have been out of this league ages ago. We are certainly going for wins in our next two games against the best two teams in the division."
