Not Often That Scotland Run Up A Score In Double Figures!

Last updated : 01 October 2004 By Ed_ScottishfItba
Scotland women's Under 19 team are really running riot with the goals these days. Following their six goal win over the Ukraine on Tuesday they made sure of qualification from their UEFA group with a 13-0 victory yesterday over Belarus in Moldova. The 13 goals were spread around thanks to trebles from Diana Barry and Erika Duncan, doubles from Pamela Liddell and Katie Bennett, and further goals from Fay Hughes, Sharon Scott and Emma Fernon.

The rout was on from early doors and Scotland were leading 7-0 by half time against a poor Belarus team. They could not match that scoreline in the second half and only added another 6 to make it 13 by the final whistle. With the top two countries going through, Scotland can now relax as they play their third game, against hosts Moldova tomorrow (Saturday).
