At least Scotland’s Under 18’s know how to beat Germany! In the first of 2 friendly games in three days, the young Scotland side beat their German counterparts 2-0 last night at Methill in front of a crowd of 530. The two sides meet again at Stirling tomorrow (Thursday kick-off at 7.30 pm).

It was an excellent all round performance from the young Scots, although they had to look sharp in the first half as Polanski, Artmann and Dejagah all had good chances for the visitors, all saved by Euan McLean. Scotland made the breakthrough in 66 minutes with a great strike from Robert Davidson. The result was wrapped up in 84 minutes with a close finish by Steven Campbell. The Germans hit the post late on but Scotland ran out deserved winners.
