Allan McGregor has been included in Craig Levein’s squad for the friendly against Sweden next Wednesday in Stockholm. Levein drew a line under punishments handed out before he took over the national managers post. However, McGregor was left out of Levein's first squad to play the Czech Republic at Hampden in March after sustaining an eye injury in an incident in Glasgow with the former Dundee United manager admitting his decision was also, in part, due to the "circus" which would have surrounded the controversial keeper's return. Levein is without his number one Craig Gordon who is out with a broken arm and the Rangers keeper is odds-on favourite to take over in goal.

Levein also recalled Stephen McManus after dropping the Middlesbrough stopper for the Czech Republic game. He also added three other Middlesbrough players with Kevin Thomson, Barry Robson and Kris Boyd joining McManus on the journey from the Riverside. Rangers Kenny Miller was named despite shin splints hampering him during the Ibrox club's pre-season trip to Sydney and team-mate Kirk Broadfoot returns after fully recovering from the injury problems which blighted last season.

The game allows Levein to  get one last chance to see his players in action in Sweden before the EURO2012 qualifying double-header against Lithuania and Liechtenstein at the start of September.
