C:WindowsTempphp4F6F.tmpYou can't keep Kris Boyd out of the news at the moment. First of all he launched his laudable charity to help people affected by mental health issues. Then he joined Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke in the spotlight as the pair won the Manager and Player of the Month awards for December.  Boyd then agreed a new deal with the Rugby Park side which will see him hang around until 2019.

Kilmarnock won four and drew two of their six games over  the festive period to move into the top six. Manager Clarke saw his team unbeaten during a hectic period, including their  fightback from two goals down at halftime away to Ross County.

Boyd was on fire with six goals added top his total in as many game during December. He scored a double in the 5-1 home win over Partick Thistle before grabbing a vital goal to complete the comeback against County.  A Boyd double helped beat Rangers at Rugby Park before ending the month in style with an early goal against Hibs at Easter Road.  Not too shabby a month really.
