C:WindowsTempphp5A80.tmpFalkirk's Craig Sibbald spoke before Saturday’s game against Dunfermline of “winning it for the fans”, being a fan himself he knew exactly what was required and delivered with a goal. With the South Stand full and the atmosphere electric, Sibbald latched onto a ball from John Baird to give the home side the lead with 27 minutes of the game played. It was certainly a moment and a game Sibbald won’t forget in a long time. He said: "It was special seeing the atmosphere, it was a great game to play in and I was just happy to get the first goal. I thought we played some really good football at times and we were unlucky not to get a few more goals. It was strange shooting the other way in the first half, I think they were trying to get in our heads because that’s our best side to attack towards. It was a great feeling to score into all the fans especially with the South Stand being sold out. It was the right direction in terms of the way we wanted to play, we were happy with our performance and I was happy with the goal."

The rivalry was intense on Saturday with both sets of fans giving it plenty. While on the park, tackles were flying in as referee Andrew Dallas’ booking count went higher and higher. Sibbald insists that the playing squad were under no illusions as to what the game meant to the fans. He said: "
It was our first league game against Dunfermline in a while so we knew it would be intense. The game was being played at 100mph, they’re the sort of games you want to play in and all of the boys are delighted with the result too. The gaffer got us in on Thursday and told us the importance of the rivalry and making sure we were up for it from the start. I thought we were and as I say we played some good stuff and deserved the victory."
