Hibs manager and former defender Colin Calderwood will continue to focus on his team's failings after watching the way they were cut open during their 2-1 defeat at Kilmarnock. Ben Gordon twice set up Liam Kelly to score from inside the penalty box as Kilmarnock moved into fifth place in the SPL. The first goal came from an impressive passing move in the ninth minute when Mehdi Taouil played a clever reverse pass inside Hibs right-back Michael Hart to send Gordon down the left wing. The second came in the 43rd minute when Kilmarnock moved the ball from right to left with Gordon again finding the room and composure to pick out Kelly, who finished instantly once more to celebrate his new two-and-a-half-year contract in style. Hibs remain stuck in the quagmire that is the bottom six after suffering five defeats in eight games since Calderwood took over from the sacked John Hughes. The former Nottingham Forest manager is keen to make his team more resilient. Calderwood said: "It looks quite easy to score against us and that's something we've got to look at. It's not as if we're stretched, we've got enough bodies back. It's then the responsibility of those in the areas of the pitch. Both goals came from round about the same area and I think it's the same player. They are not soft goals because they are good goals from their aspect, but it just looked a wee bit too tame." |
