C:WindowsTempphpE017.tmpCeltic will be heading to Slovenia as part of their pre-season preparations which is OK with Nir Bitton who is fired up and raring to go. Bitton has enjoyed a month-long break back home with his family in Israel and has returned to Lennoxtown with his batteries fully charged as Celtic embark on a new era under manager Brendan Rodgers. Training ahead of the pre-season tour in Slovenia has been intense, with the squad undertaking double sessions as they prepare for the new season

Bitton said: "It’s always a pleasure to be here. It has been five weeks off now we’re back to business and we’re looking forward to the upcoming season. We’re going to Slovenia to prepare for the new season, to understand what the gaffer wants from us and to hopefully be ready for the Champions League qualification. It is a big honour to be trained by Brendan Rodgers and I’m looking forward to the season starting to show him my quality and that I deserve to play. I’m looking to keep my place in the team, to win more trophies with this club, to make the supporters proud and I really want to go to the Champions League, it’s my dream."
