Let's Not Lose Any

C:WindowsTempphpF51D.tmpDundee United manager Ray McKinnon has set his players the challenge of winning all their remaining Scottish Championship games including the one on Friday against League leaders Hibs.  A win tomorrow at Tannadice can cut the gap on the league leaders to four points with a game in hand. McKinnon has called on his team to mount one last push for the title in their final 11 games. He said: "We had a chat with the players there and we want to try and win every game between now and the end of the season.  Nothing is going to change, that has got to be our mentality, try and win every game and let's see where we end up at the end of the season."

Hibs' four-game run without a league win has given United fans renewed hope that their team can bounce right back from relegation with automatic promotion, and McKinnon has promised to give everything to meet their demands.  The United manager, who has a full squad other than the injured Blair Spittal, said: "
I understand there's an expectation at Dundee United. We are Dundee United and we want to be in the Premiership, and that's exactly where we belong.  I also get the reality of where we are, why we are here and the impact it has on us as a club. Some fans don't, which I appreciate, which is okay.  Hibs have had three years with the same squad and been adding to it. I took this club over with no squad and put it together in six weeks.  So for me I think we are doing great right now. We will do even better next year, wherever we are, because we are going to have a year of planning and recruiting properly.  You can't build a team in six weeks and win the Scottish Premier or the Champions League, you have to have time to build.  We are doing that but we are where we are right now and we are going to give it everything to try and get up this season. That was always going to be the aim for me."
