You Gotta Have Dreams

"I say always you need to dream."
Ex-Rangers striker Dado Prso dreams of a return to Ibrox one day - as manager. he knows he has a lot to learn and admits it would be "a massive, massive step" - but it does not stop him having an ambition. The former Croatia striker had to call it quits at the end of last season after knee problems stopped him playing his natural full blooded game. Rather than walk away from football, Prso has started a coaching course with the Croatian FA, alongside some of his country's golden generation of players, and hopes to be able to carve out a new career in the game. The ex-striker said "I want to stay in football, that's for sure. Being a coach would be something else. At this moment we'll see. I'm just going for the lessons to be a coach. Afterwards we'll see what's going to happen. To be a Rangers manager, I think it's a massive, massive step. I say always you need to dream. For me even to come back and see the games, I'm already happy. You never know what could happen but to be 'Capello', I don't know, it's a massive ask. But when you have the mentality where you want to learn and you have a dream, why not go forward?"

Prso enjoyed cult status in his final three playing years at Rangers. He admits he learned a lot during his time in Scotland, and plans to mould any team he is in charge of into one that can display the appetite for the game which he experienced as a Rangers player. Prso said: "
You need to have something like in Scotland, you need to have this passion. But I think a little bit more tactics - not too much, just a wee bit."
