Hibs have confirmed that coach Tommy Craig has left the club by mutual consent. The former Newcastle and Celtic coach returned to Easter Road for a second spell on the backroom staff as assistant to John Collins in October 2006. The 57-year-old assumed the role of caretaker manager when Collins quit in December but has left following the arrival of Mixu Paatelainen as boss.

Hibs chairman Rod Petrie said: "
We are very grateful to Tommy for his hard work and contribution to the club, particularly when he took charge of first-team matters in difficult circumstances. Tommy has played his part in ensuring a smooth transition and we wish him and his family every happiness in the future." Craig added: "I enjoyed my time at Hibernian with the obvious high being the CIS Cup final win over Kilmarnock, and would like to thank everyone at the club for the past 14 months."
