Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies is looking to finish in the top five of the SPL this season. They achieved that aim last season and Jefferies demands his players repeat the feat. He said: "We want to finish as high as possible. We were fifth last year and we have to ask: Can we do it again? They are all hard games between now and the end of the season. But, if we can finish fifth as well as being in a cup final, it will be an excellent season for us. That's what we need to aim for." Killie face Motherwell tonight and Jeffries does not want his players to relax just yet. While he believes the season has already been a success he insists there is still more to play for and has urged his players to end the season on a high, starting at Fir Park. He went on: "We've been in a cup final and we're in the top six,. And people will start to ask whether the players will switch off now. But you only have to look at the attitude and passion on Saturday against Aberdeen to see that's not going to be the case." |
