Perfect Blend Sought On A Budget

Falkirk are not content with signing four new players since the end of the season. Manager John Hughes is still on the lookout for more as he does not think his side is ready to progress in the SPL just yet. The Bairns have already signed up experienced trio Lee Bullen, Neil McCann and Jackie McNamara, as well as youngster Dermot McCaffrey. But Hughes wants to bring in some more new faces to allow him to have the blend of experience and youthful exuberance that will play the kind of football he likes.

He said: "
We are continuously searching for ways to improve, while keeping within our budget. On the playing front, one of the things we can do is sign experienced pros with good values and character to guide the younger ones. Along with Dermot McCaffrey, that's four good new players and we will be working tirelessly over the summer to try and bring others in. With one or two more added, I think it will be a strong squad for next season."
