Third play fifth in the First Division today as St Johnstone welcome Dunfermline to Perth. Visiting manager Jim McIntyre may have to field a side without striker Mark Burchill due to injury. He said: "Mark's a slight doubt - he's got a strain in his abductor muscle, and Nicky Phinn's got a bruised foot as well. I think the camp's definitely a lot happier. We're still looking to improve results - especially our home results - but there's been progress and that's the most important thing." McIntyre will definitely be without Tam McManus as his registration had been cancelled with the SFA to allow him to join MLS' Colorado Rapids in the USA.

The Saints will be able to welcome back former Chelsea midfielder Jody Morris who has returned from being at the the birth of his son in London. The fitness of Rocco Quinn is is still being assessed while on-loan Dundee United midfielder Greg Cameron is definitely out with knee trouble. Goran Stanic could return after recovering from an Achilles tendon complaint and Andy Jackson should be back after missing the midweek loss against Clyde due to a twisted ankle. Peter MacDonald will definitely be involved, although there are concerns that he will need hernia surgery in the summer.
