Just A Blip

Raith Rovers manager John McGlynn watched as his side's run of seven games without loss brought to an end by Stirling Albion last Saturday. He is determined that the trip to face fellow play-off contenders Brechin City will not end in the same way. Both teams are nearly guaranteed a Second Division play-off position - the Glebe Parkers are just point ahead of the Kirkcaldy side in third place - with nearest challengers Ayr United ten points behind. McGlynn's aim is to finish as high in the table as possible then wait to see who they have to play in what will be an intriguing end-of-season promotion dogfight.

McGlynn said: "
It was disappointing to lose last week, but the run had to come to an end sometime. The players have reacted positively and are looking to bounce back with a win. Our aim now is to finish as high in the table as possible. If we finish third its likely we'll face Stirling in the play-offs but, if we finish fourth, then we'll be up against one of the First Division sides."
