Love hurts
Just to make Daviebee's day, we bring you an update on the love of his life, Scotland Captain Julie Fleeting. You will remember that Julie was signed as a professional player by San Diego Spirit. Well, she has made her usual impact. She has been on the pitch three times (twice as a sub and the other from the start) and she has already notched up two goals. Her second goal, proved to be the winner to give her new team their first away victory of the season.

For those of you who follow the women's game or would like to know why Daviebee has such devotion, you may like to get hold of a free poster. The Women’s National Squad recently gained promotion to the 1st strength category in Europe (top 16 to you and me) and a poster will be available at the end of August. To receive your free copy please email your postal address to lisa.brown@scottishfa.co.uk.

For those of you who want to be actively involved in women's football (unfortunately this is for women only), you may be interested in the SFA Development Squad Programme. The programme aims to increase opportunities regionally and nationally, and develop structures to enable young girls to participate in football at a level suitable to their experience, ambitions and talent. the programmes begins again in August and will cover the areas of:

Participation/Performance

Performance/Excellence

The squads are open to girls who play regularly and are looking to improve their football skills and knowledge. The Development Squad Programme are a vital part of the SFA Pathway for girls and women’s football as the squads are a stepping-stone to the Elite Squads and National Squads.
