Squad For England Game Named

The Auld Enemy are the next opposition for Scotland's women. The game takes place at Preston next Thursday in an international friendly, with a 7.30 pm kick-off . As with all England home matches, the game will be shown live on Sky Sports. However, the women will be backed up by a contingent of the Tartan Army who are planning to come down for the game. This marks the start of a great international week, with Scotland's A and Under 21 teams also facing key matches.

England were the first ever opponents of the Scotland women's team, back in 1972. The two teams have met several times since but Scotland have only managed to record a single victory, back in 1977. The Scotland squad for the trip is made up of players from just four clubs. The women are as follows.

Hibs
Michelle Barr, Amanda Burns, Gemma Fay, Julie Ferguson, Mhairi Gilmour, Pauline Hamill, Kirsty McBride, Suzanne Malone, Marlene Pearson, Julia Ralph, Suzanne Robertson
Ross County
Julie Fleeting, Shelley Grant, Suzanne Grant
Kilmarnock
Stacey Cook, Claire Johnstone, Joanne Love, Megan Sneddon
Glasgow City
Debbie McWhinnie
