Moldova Or Bust

Last updated : 01 October 2004 By Ed_ScottishFitba

It is not just the Scotland A squad who will be lining up to play in Moldova as Scotland's women's Under 19 team travel to take on Ukraine, Belarus and hosts Moldova in the space of 6 days. The next round of qualifying games is quite intensive as the women strive to qualify for the next round of the UEFA Women's Under 19 Championship. The women will gain first hand experience of the stadium where Scotland's men will play their World Cup fixture next month. That will make sure that Berti Vogts will be an interested listener to women's team coach Tony Gervaise' tales of the team's travels in respect of facilities and local conditions.

The Under 19s take on Ukraine at the Republican Stadium in Chisinau on Tuesday, 28 September, followed by playing Belarus at the same ground two days later. Their final game is on Saturday, 2 October against hosts Moldova at the Dinamo Stadium in Chisinau, which is the venue for Scotland Under 21s next month.
