Scotland's women unexpectedly lost their their UEFA Championship qualifier against the Czech Republic, 2-0 in Ostrava on Sunday. After recording high scoring wins against Ukraine (5-1) and Portugal (8-1), Scotland were favourites to win. Especially as the Czechs had yet to record a win. Coach Vera Pauw and her team were disappointed with the result but still remain in second place in the group.

At the halfway stage, Germany top the group with Scotland in second place after recording two wins and two defeats. Scotland must wait another six month for their next qualifying game, away to Ukraine next April.
