Scotland Under 17s lost their slim chance of getting to the finals as they lost their third and final UEFA qualifier to France by a single goal on Sauturday. Turkey, who won the group with a 100% record thaks to a 3-0 win over Azerbaijan, go through to the finals in Italy.

France scored the only goal of the game five minutes before half time, and although the Scots tried hard to get back on level terms they could not find a way past a determined defence. However, Scotland did have the consolation of finishing second place in the group. Scotland, France and Azerbaijan all finished with three points but Scotland had the Scots had the best goal difference.
