Germany 1- Scotland 1

Scotland Under 19s enjoyed being in front of the cameras as they managed to draw 1-1 with Germany last night. They even came back from a goal down to equalise through Celtic’s Michael Gardyne.

The match was played in far from ideal conditions with the pitch enveloped in a freezing fog. However, that did not put off a decent, hardy and noisy crowd of 6,500 from coming along to see the youngsters. Obviously the weather did not help the live television coverage.
Scotland were down 1-0 within 4 minutes of the whistle as Sascha Schrodter finished off a fine German move. The home side dominated the first half, with the only chance Scotland coming after 18 minutes as Rocco Quinn shot wide. Scotland came more into the game in the second half, and fully deserved their equaliser in the 70 minute.
