The friendly game against Argentina should allow Scotland to play a bit as nobody expect them to win.

Maradona will be travelling with the Argentina squad for the game against Scotland on 19 November before he takes on his coaching role with his national side. The prospect of the former world superstar on the sidelines should be something that encourages the home players to show what they can do. Former Scotland midfielder and TV pundit Murdo MacLeod wants national coach George Burley to encourage his players to express themselves when they face Argentina. Burley does not have a great record since he took on the national job having won only one of his six games in charge of Scotland. The manager may be able to call on Alan Hutton and Barry Ferguson for next month's game as injury has restricting them to one game between them under Burley.

MacLeod said: "
He has been unfortunate not having Barry and Alan Hutton but we have still got a lot of good players. I think he just needs a wee bit more out of the players. They have all been working hard enough, battling, but it's just not happening football-wise. We have not been scoring enough goals. This is a friendly game, there is nothing at stake apart from your pride and the fact your country wants you to do well. But I think it's important the players just go out and play. It's no use getting a full house here at Hampden Park and coming to watch Scotland just sit in against Argentina. They have got to have a wee go at them."
