"What's in the past is in the past. I look to the future and my future's at Blackpool"
Charlie Adam is grateful to be back in the Scotland squad more than two years after his last cap. He considers his move to Blackpool where he is getting regular first team football to have been a major reason for the call from George Burley. Adam has been in impressive form since joining the Seasiders from Rangers this summer and in the travelling party for next Saturday's friendly in Japan. The midfielder was quick to praise Blackpool boss Ian Holloway for rescuing him from reserve-team football at Ibrox.

He said: "
It's been a major factor because I've managed to get back playing regular football. That was one of the reasons that I came here, because I wanted to play regularly and play every week and I've been given that opportunity so far by the manager. If it wasn't for him and my team-mates then I wouldn't be in the same position that I'm in at the moment. It's a fantastic day to be called back into the squad and hopefully I can kick on from here. Obviously, it's come at a good time when things have gone well for us as a team and that's probably one of the main reasons why I'm getting the opportunity to go back and show the manager what I can do. What's in the past is in the past. I look to the future and my future's at Blackpool."
