Slaven Bilic is staying where he is at the moment and could not be tempted to come to Scotland.
The search for a replacement for George Burley goes on as Croatia boss Slaven Bilic turns down a chance to take over. The SFA moved fast to approach Bilic who led Croatia in failing to get to the World Cup finals as they finished below England and Ukraine in their qualification group. He is still in charge of Croatia but is willing to listen to offers. His agent, Rudi Vata, said he had been willing to speak to Portsmouth before Avram Grant was named as their new manager but that he was not interested in holding talks over the Scotland job. Nonetheless, clubs in the Premier League and Bundesliga are apparently still interested in his services and it appears Bilic is ready to move on.
Vata said: "I recently had a request about the Scotland national team and Bilic was not interested in that at the moment. He was heavily involved with the Croatian national team in the summer and couldn't make any move. Now he is in a position where he can sit down and study all of the offers available. The English Premier League is one of the top leagues in Europe. He wants to make the right decision and he wants to make the right move. There are clubs in Germany and England who are interested in him." |
