Every player in the Scotland squad wants to be involved in Saturday's game to be involved in waht could be an historic game.

Derby have not had the best of seasons so far, sitting at the bottom of the English Premier
League with just six points, but that has not knocked the confidence of defender Jay McEveley. He is hoping Scotland manager Alex McLeish sees past his club's performance and give him a chance against the Italians in Saturday's crunch EURO2008 qualifier at Hampden. McEveley has warned Italy their arrogance will be knocked out of them early and predicted a tough afternoon for Roberto Donadoni's men.

He said: "
You have to knock the arrogance out of the Italians early doors. You need to get in their faces right from the kick-off and show them it's not going to be an easy ride. If they do come here and think they will walk all over Scotland then they are mistaken. I think we can dream and believe we're going to win. We've come so far now we have to finish the job. It's going to be a difficult game but one that we are looking forward to and one we're confident about."
