skylogoThose of us who can't get across to Ireland next year for the Carling Nations Cup can watch all the action on Sky and in 3D. The Football Association of Ireland has secured a deal with Sky Sports to show all six games in February and May 2011 in Ireland and the UK. All of the games will be shown on Sky Sports in 3D, a first for three of the participating teams and the first time Sky Sports will cover a whole international tournament in 3D. The agreement will also allow simultaneous live broadcast of the games involving Wales in the Welsh language on S4C.

The opening games of the competition take place in Aviva Stadium on 8th (Republic of Ireland v Wales) and 9th February (Northern Ireland v Scotland). The dates for the games to be played in May have been revised to suit Sky schedules.

We're also delighted that the tournament provides us with another first; as we pioneer international football in 3D for both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The Aviva Stadium will provide the perfect backdrop for what should be some fantastic matches."

Niall Phelan, Molson Coors Country Manager for Ireland said: "The Carling Nations Cup tournament is just eight weeks away and we are delighted to have Sky Sports on board as the main broadcast partner throughout the UK and Ireland. Fans can expect a feast of international football in the New Year when the Carling Nations Cup kicks off in Dublin's Aviva stadium in February."
