Winter Weather Or Dubai Sunshine? Tough Call

Last updated : 27 December 2010 By Ed_ScottishFitba

clyde jpegClyde defender Murray Henderson is getting away from the winter weather to take up residence in Dubai for the next 18 months. No longer will Henderson be living the life of a player in a side at the bottom of the Third Division as he will be managing an 18 month construction project in the Middle East. This is a bit too far for the commute to training and for games and he has told Broadwood boss Stuart Millar that it is too good an opportunity to turn down.

Millar said: "Murray has been travelling backwards and forwards to Dubai for most of the season and he has now been offered the chance to go there on an 18 month contract. I am sure he spent a long time considering between freezing himself playing for Clyde or working in Dubai." Bully Wee fans may not have seen the last of  Henderson however with Millar saying: "We will keep hold of Murray’s registration should things not work out over there or he wants to continue playing when he comes back. I have known him for a ling time, going back to my Stranraer days, so I know that he is a fit lad who will keep himself in shape."
