Players and clubs can benefit from loans and Adam Strachan will hope to catch the eye while playing for the Sons of the Rock

Dumbarton have allowed former Partick Thistle and Ross County winger Adam Strachan to move on loan to Albion Rovers for a month, in a move described by Coatbridge manager Paul Martin as "beneficial to both parties".

Martin said: "We have a gap in our squad for a wide player with Bobby Barr going to Brechin and Adam will help us fill that. For Adam, he will get the chance of a regular game and give people the opportunity to show what he can do before his contract ends with Dumbarton at the end of the year. He will hopefully use his spell with us to play well and put himself firmly in the shop window to either get a new deal at Dumbarton or another club."
