C:WindowsTempphp7734.tmpScott Sinclair certainly made the best of his debut for Celtic on Sunday. Sinclair joined the Scottish champions at the weekend and celebrated his move from Aston Villa by scoring the winner against Hearts in their opening league fixture of 2016/17. The dream start for Sinclair was made even more remarkable for the playmaker, given his lack of sleep over the weekend as he finalised his move to Celtic. He said: "I really enjoyed it, although it was a bit of a whirlwind.I only had about three hours sleep on the Friday night before getting a call from my agent telling me to hurry up and drive up to Glasgow. So I couldn’t have asked for a better start really. The manager spoke to me and asked if I was fit enough to be involved and I told him yes. To come on and score the winner and get the three points was a dream come true."

Sinclair’s move to Celtic has seen the ex-Manchester City and Villa player reunite with his former Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers, with the Irishman keen to work again with a player who had previously done so well for him. The early signs indicate the manager’s determination to bring Sinclair to Parkhead is well-founded and the winger admitted that working under Rodgers once more was a major factor in his decision to move to Glasgow. He said: "There was a massive impact from the manager in my decision to come here. I’ve played under him at Swansea and that was my best football, which led me to sign for Manchester City. Over the last two or three years football hasn’t been great for me and I just wanted to be at a club and enjoy it under a manager who knows me and gives me confidence. That’s why it’s great for me to work under a manager like Brendan Rodgers. I want to play football and enjoy it, be back being passionate. It's as simple as that. When I enjoy it, I play at my best and the manager knows that from me working under him."
