What A Kari On!

Kari ArnasonMidfielder Kari Arnason would not have been named in the team for Aberdeen's game with St Johnstone if it had gone ahead. The fog-bound McDairmid Park meant that Arnason did not miss a game but he could still miss out when the sides eventually meet as he is set to have a scan on a hamstring injury to determine how long he could be out of action for. Aberdeen manager Craig Brown knows that Arnason now faces a race against time to prove his fitness ahead of Aberdeen's next game against Motherwell on 19 November.

Brown said: "The hamstring injury is one which does take a bit more time than some of the others. So we have to get it properly and carefully checked, possibly with a scan just to confirm the extent of the injury. He wouldn't have been able to play last night so that means we would have had two midfield players out - Rob Milsom and Arnason. We are disappointed the game was postponed but, with it being postponed, it will give both these injured players a little more time to be ready for the re-arranged fixture."

The date for the game has still to be agreed despite St Johnstone wanting to make use of a free weekend by re-arranging the fixture for this Saturday. However, the Dons would be depleted with Mohamed Chalali, Josh Magennis, Peter Pawlett and Ryan Jack - suspended for the clash with Saints - all on international duty so turned down the opportunity. Brown went on: "We've got four players away on international duty so it would be crazy of us to agree to play the fixture with four players away on international duty and two doubtful through injury."
