Montrose and Berwick enjoyed the highs and lows of cup football at the weekend but it is back to league business tonight.

montroseIt is back to league business for bottom of the pile Montrose after they enjoyed the winning feeling in the Scottish Cup at the weekend. Player-manager Steven Tweed will have to make some changes for the league visit of Berwick. Tweed rates himself as doubtful with a thigh injury, while Chris Hegarty will miss out through suspension. Tweed's men are still looking for their first league win of the season but go into tonight's game boosted by Saturday's cup win over East Fife. Tweed said: "We deserved our win and it has given everyone at the club a huge lift. I am sure that now that the players have tasted success at home for the first time they will be wanting some more. Our form has been good and it would be fantastic to get those first three points and then target a move up the table."

berwickBerwick were thrashed 5-1 by Ross County in the cup at the weekend and will be glad to get a chance to ease part of that painful feeling when they run out tonight. One player who will  not be running anywhere is Steve Notman who had to came off on Saturday through illness and he has yet to recover. However, David Greenhill, who missed the game through injury, is now fully fit and is set to play. Despite taking a hiding at the weekend, manager Jimmy Crease remains upbeat. He said: "The scoreline flattered Ross County as we were the better side in the first half an hour. If we had scored with our penalty when the game was goalless it would have been a much tighter affair and I am pleased with how we went about things." Crease was not surprised about Montrose's win over East Fife and added: "They are a much better team than their league position indicates. They have been promising to do that for a while now so I was not overly shocked. We will need to be at our best to take three points from this game."
