In these days of here today gone tomorrow deals, it is nice to see that one of the longest unbroken sponsorship deals in British football history is set to continue for a 29th consecutive season. Stena Line will be renewing its sponsorship of Stranraer for the 2016/17 season. Diane Poole OBE, Head of PR and Communications, Stena Line, said: "Our link with Stranraer Football Club is record breaking. Together we have put the club top of British football’s list for continuous shirt sponsors. In current times, with a few notable exceptions, modern day football has become synonymous with shorter and shorter contracts as players and managers tread the merry-go-round of club after club in ever increasing numbers. However, for the last 29 years we have stood by Stranraer Football Club through the ups and downs of league and cup life and we’re looking forward to the season ahead as we continue our landmark sponsorship of the team. This will be the 29th unbroken year that we have sponsored the club and we hope that over the coming months they really make their mark on the league".
