Well Covered At The Back

By Ed_ScottishFitba

Hearts' number one from last season has signed a new deal.

Hearts have managed to persuade goalkeeper Marian Kello to sign a new deal to keep him at Tynecastle for another year. The Slovakian ended last season as the number one number one at Tynecastle and will hope to reclaim his title in a three-way battle with Janos Balogh and Jamie MacDonald. Kello crossed all the t's and dotted the i's on Saturday and could well feature in the friendly against Plymouth Argyle on Wednesday. Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo said: "
I am happy that Marian's contract is resolved and that he can now concentrate on his job. We have the same situation as last year, with three goalkeepers who we think will provide good competition and we also have young Mark Ridgers who has a big future ahead of him."

Hearts are still planning ahead with more players arriving on trial the latest being Portuguese pair Joao Moreira and Zezinando. Striker Moreira, arrives from Beira Mar. He started his career at Estrela Amadaora before moving to Spanish giants Valencia. He also spent time on loan at Rayo Vallecano. Zezinando previously played for Sporting Lisbon. The midfielder came through the club's highly-regarded academy and is a former Portugal under-19 international. Both players arrived on Saturday evening at the club's base in Southampton and trained with the squad for the first time on Sunday.
