We are happy to publish views on new managerial appointments and offer an open invitation to Celtic, Motherwell and Falkirk fans to write something for the site when they have a new manager.
While we wait for managers to be appointed at Celtic, Falkirk and now Motherwell, we offer some more views of the fans on their new man. Hibs have appointed John Hughes and the Easter Road fans are hoping he brings some of the entertaining passing football with him.
"I think John Hughes appointment could be an exciting one for us Hibees. If he can get Zemmama and Benji back and firing on all cylinders alongside Riordan and Nish (Fletcher & Jones will go in the summer IMO) and find a replacement for Jones, a good keeper and a couple of solid midfielders there could be some exciting times ahead for the cabbage & ribs." "He turned Falkirk into an established SPL team despite spending only 100,000 quid on transfers. While he wont have cash to throw about he will prosper with more resources and a better set up. He brought Falkirk Europe for the first time in their history. If he brings us the Scottish Cup he will be an instant legend.
He has a history of blooding young players at Falkirk. At Hibs he has a batch of young talent to rival the likes of Riordan, Brown and Fletcher - waiting to be guided the right direction. He is a thinker and innovator - bringing huge changes to Falkirk in terms of training and sports science techniques. At Hibs this will translate to a much needed boost for a team lacking in confidence, urgency and vibrancy
He is universally admired and respected - in particular for delivering the most eye-catching football in the league. And now at Hibs he will bring us back the FLAIR football that brought us so many plaudits and made the Jambos so jealous. Can you think of a better manager to get the best out of Zemmama? When you think about it he ticks all the boxes. The future is definitely green and white." Godflesh | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba.net)
