Nobody likes distraction before a big game but Falkirk will have to cope with the interest in Darren Barr as they get ready for Europe.
The defender wouldn't be drawn on the speculation. "I don't really want to talk about that kind of thing because we have got the game tomorrow and it's a big week for the club. I try to keep myself away from the reading the papers. There's a fresh start here, there's a new manager and a good feel to the place. I'm just concentrating on Falkirk and tomorrow night's game." May has plans to play Barr as a right-back this season, a position he saw the defender make his own in the Falkirk youth side. Barr says he has what it takes to play in either role and says that he's happy just being involved. Barr went on: "I just want to play football, there are new plans and a new manager. I think I've got it in me, I wasn't really surprised. When I was younger I started out as a right-back so I will just get on with it. I feel as if I have got a good enough spring to play at centre-half but I don't mind where I am playing, as long as I am playing." | ||
